In this class you will learn the importance of proper patient assessment. Then, after a thorough evaluation of the patient, you will learn skills such as - bleeding control, immobilization of fractures, strains, and sprains, burn care, asthma, diabetics, seizures, anaphylactic shock, and much more.

Our instructors meet the requirements for the Kentucky Cabinet of Health and Family Services approved vendor program as required by the Kentucky Foster Parent Handbook.

This class is for everyone that is not working in the medical field. Daycare providers, personal trainers, coaches, school teachers, construction, etc. The skills in this class include: opening airway, rescue breathing, choking for the conscious and unconscious victim, and CPR. Our instructors meet the requirements for the Kentucky Cabinet of Health and Family Services approved vendor program as required by the Kentucky Foster Parent Handbook.

These classes fulfill all requirements for those certified as Foster Parents, Group Homes, Child Care, Day Care, and Elder Care facilities.

This class is for anyone taking an AHA class for the first time or has an expired certification. This American Heart Association course is designed for anyone in the medical field requiring CPR training: Nurses, Physicians, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Nursing Assistants (CNA's), physical, occupational, respiratory therapists and others. Topics include one and two rescuer CPR for the adult, child and infant, Ambu bag (bag mask) and mouth to mask resuscitation, use of the automatic external defibrillator (AED) and team BLS skills. Certification available through the American Heart Association or The American Red Cross.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The purpose of this course is to equip individuals with the information necessary to recognize potential sites for disease transmission, as well as the skills necessary to prevent it. OSHA guidelines for Universal Precautions are discussed. Certification for 1 year, meeting OHSA guidelines.

The Child and Babysitting Safety program is a community education program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. CABS stresses the priority to keep you and the children you care for safe. Babysitting is not just “watching” the children, but being responsible for their safety and well being. When you are caring for a child, you are taking care of a parent's most prized possession. Everything in their home and your own home can be replaced— everything, that is, except a child.
